They talked and talked. The Bluebird brought them news of far away disasters and hardship.
The report made their few complaints seem insignificant in comparison.
Tilly made heart toasts, with goat cheese and marmalade.
Marcus brought out the last of the festive cranberry liqueur to sip while they laughed and caught up.
They gossiped about the Gucci Rabbits. The Bluebird had just seen them in the frozen North Country carrying on and being loud.
Revived and full, it was time for the elusive Bluebird to continue on.
Marcus and Tilly knew they would see her another time.

During the month of January I am participating in Fun-A-Day Providence.
The Premise of Fun-A-Day is that you create something each day for 30 days of January.
Then there is an exhibit of everyone's work.
I commited to making a scene for Marcus and Tilly every day in January.
Their story actually began a couple of years ago.
You can see the early parts here http://www.flickr.com/photos/chloe-and-ivan/sets/72157623001687695/
